Modeling thy Castle


CASTLE FROM THE FUTURE

In my floor Plans I made a square and added some lines to get an idea of what I would be working with.






I found making a spiral tower and some small scale objects was just a fun start to get the brain juice moving. I want this to be a castle worth of housing alien kings and queens. I gotta put my all into this.



I put up some walls started working on the satellite, we are now getting somewhere. The stairs are a friggin struggle to create. Lots of splits, and copying, very little fun to be had here.


Seriously this is incomprehensible.


But after a few hours work we now have zee stairs.


Here's where the special part of brain thought of a way to cut out an octagonal cylinder with the below shape, and combine that with a spiral command and a sweep command to get...


This beautiful creature! I made a fantastic tower shape, worthy of aliens.


Theses shapes in the below picture are really easy to do just a loft, with my secret curve quarter rotation technique. I would explain more, but it's a secret. I will however show you if you ask.



















Thrown in some details, like front door fence so your alien dog can't get out. Add a few pegs and lines and squiggles for decoration, and you'll find that your castle really does brighten. Very fung shui.
I need a population goin in here so I designed a house to be copied over and over to make towers of house. I also designed some street stores that only offer food, because all the money goes to the king and queen for scientific purposes and the people can't afford much at all.






 Apparently they live in overpopulation and unsafe living conditions.

I am really struggling with getting an array of fence for decoration. Since it's late now. I am probably going to stop without too much detail going into the castle sadly I was going to add windows and add way more building, but at this point I covered a whole lot of the commands I was taught. Plus a really decent amount of detail to look at. While the design isn't great. I'd say the creativity is overloaded. Overall it was a challenge to not only stay focused on a project like this, but actually get somewhere I could be satisfied. I am not really a castle enthusiast or really interested in any form of architecture, so for a first time stabbing at building making I think a decent job was achieved.

Here is the beginning of my sketches I am hoping for much more, this is just an early stage. It is my humble opinion that the sketches represented in this work is too messy, and I wish I had put more time into working out the ideas. Check it out. My 3D Object -Trumpet

TRUMPET What is my reason for a trumpet? I really don't know. They are loud and obnoxious, possibly like me. Also if I could 3D print the parts that would be awesome to own a 3D printed trumpet. HERE IS A TRUMPET MADE OF WOOD. This has the same idea as how I will be constructing it in 3D. More detailed blueprints are to be added as needed. I will have more details to come for sure.

Phyllotactic Phanakistiscope

Click this while reading my blog to get my vibe. Making of a phyllotactic zoetrope using vinyl cuts. What is a phyllotactic spiral, that is a huge question that will fucking blow your mind. It is a concept that is found in all plants flowering mechanisms. As the cells grow they do it in the Fibonacci Sequence. One direction spirals right let's say 21/360 degrees and the inverse spiral lines up at 13/360 degrees. If you take any two neighboring numbers in the Fibonacci Sequence you will find this to be true.
